more is more. ring overload.

It's so hot that jewelry is pretty much obsolete (at least for me) for the summer.
Loading on my rings is the last thing that's on my mind.  So here's a photo montage to pay respect to my ring collection... i'll see you in the fall.

chicago recap in photos.

Spent the better part of last week in one of my favorite cities in the entire world!
Chicago is my love & my heart.  I spent the week thrifting, watching the cubs, visiting friends, party planning, bachelorette partying, eating & celebrating.  Here's a recap in photos.

The bride (not me) is the soon to be Mrs. Amanda Ball!

6 things to: keep in your bag this summer

My favorite compact products to stash in your bag this summer!

1. The Body Shop - lip & cheek stain $14
instead of wearing lipstick when its hot & sticky,
try this gel to stain your lips into a
punchy just drank and glass of kool-aid look.

2. MAC - blot film $15
oil absorbing sheets that take away the shine
& leave the make-up (clean & clear makes less $ alternative)

3. Revlon - PhotoReady concealer $10
perfect compact stick to even out your skin tone

4. Evian - mineral water spray (2 pack) $14
love this stuff! makes my face feel super hydrated

5. Neutrogena  - baby sunblock stick $9
this is great to keep in your bag for those
unexpected times when you get caught in the high beams of the sun

6. Peter Thomas Roth - instant mineral powder
for oily problem skin $30
duel purpose! takes away the shine and adds some spf protection.

indigo child.

1. paint your nails with two coats of blue polish.
2. sponge paint* half of each nail with lighter shade of blue polish.
3. with a detail polish in black paint a V (as shown above).
4.  repeat the V shape in the opposite direction, creating a diamond.
5. paint a line through the center.
6. fill in triangles of your choosing.

*the sponge painting technique is simple,
wet a make-up sponge and squeeze out excess water.
in the light blue polish, paint the sponge until a section is covered.
