Developing my creative backbone very early on, I grew up (in rural Ohio) in a very dynamic family.
My father, a master carpenter & my mother, a career mom with a penchant for crafts
& bargain shopping, together instilled their work, hobbies & interests in me.
In high school I began to create my own things (clothes, crafts, jewelry, etc.)
out of necessity (i was a broke kid), which quickly turned into a hobby & passion!
In college I learned how to do all sorts of useful things in studio art classes like:
etching, ceramics, photography, drawing, sculpture, silk screening, book binding & paper making.
In addition to studio classes, I focused on computer art & took an array of graphic design courses.
Other mediums I dabble in are collage & mixed media, water color, embroidery stitching, basic sewing
and so many more!
Everyday new projects & ideas flood my brain!
The places I get the most inspiration from are stores like:
anthropologie
the salvation army
goodwill
m&j trimmings
mood
michaels
& blick
I will continue to do my best to keep my ideas original and up to date!
Hope you enjoy my blog.
Love,
Amanda
